Assessment of Various Uniformity Aspects under Surface Drip Irrigation System in Tomato

نویسندگان

چکیده

Background: Water in any form is the prime constitute of plant growth and development. Right amount water applied at right time quantity to crop will helpful get maximum yield potential that crop. This possible with surface drip irrigation method. Uniform application through emitters necessary aspect avail benefits like higher use efficiency irrigation. Uniformity system can be measured by various uniformity aspects viz., coefficient variation (CV), distribution (DU), statistical (SU) (CU). Factors land levelling, maintenance lines, pressure management etc. plays a vital role conserving outflow emitters.
Methodology: In this trial, all these were using catch cane method initial stage installation on basis dataset several improvements made for better emitter later planting stage.
Results: Coefficient (CU) was recorded 96.89% it improved 97.02% during first experimental year whereas second noted 95.58% 96.80% stage.

Economic Analysis of Subsurface Drip Irrigation System Uniformity

As more subsurface drip irrigation (SDI) systems are being installed throughout the plains of Texas for cotton production, irrigators are concerned about the high cost of installation and the potential benefits of alternative designs. A field study was conducted at the Texas AgriLife Research facilities at Halfway, Texas, to document the agronomic impacts of distribution uniformities on cotton ...

Effects of salinity and irrigation water management on soil and tomato in drip irrigation

In this research, the effects of irrigation with saline and fresh water through drip irrigation method and using two irrigation management strategies: M1, M2 (M1 is irrigation with fresh water in alternative with saline water, M2 is saline water in first half time of each irrigation event and fresh water in the second half), on the yield, water productivity (WP), soil salinity, plant height...

Comparison of Subsurface Drip Irrigation Uniformity Designs on Cotton Production

One of the biggest obstacles to the widespread adoption of subsurface drip irrigation (SDI) on the High Plains of Texas is the high cost of initial installation. In some cases, SDI costs can be reduced if systems are designed using lower irrigation uniformity standards. The question becomes “what is the cost in terms of cotton lint yield of lowering the uniformity standards for SDI design?” A S...

management of irrigation water salinity in greenhouse tomato production under calcareous sandy soil and drip irrigation

a greenhouse experiment was conducted during the growing seasons (2008/2009 and 2009/2010) to investigate the effects of water quality and soil amendments, irrigation methods and rates on tomato (solanum lycopersicon l. cv. red gold) yield and water use efficiency (wue). irrigation management treatments were fresh (0.86 ds m-1) and saline waters (3.6 ds m-1), surface and subsurface irrigation m...

Efficacy of Metam Sodium Under Drip and Surface Spray Application in Florida Tomato Production

The most effective soil fumigant for the past 40 years for preplant chemical control of nematodes, weeds, and fungal pathogens in Florida vegetable production has been methyl bromide (MBr). Unfortunately, MBr has been implicated in depletion of stratospheric ozone, and is slated to be banned in the United States. A possible alternative replacement to MBr is metam sodium (MS, sodium N-methyl dit...
